New Hilton Grand Vacations Club opens at Waikiki Beach

hokulani-waikikiHilton Grand Vacations (HGV) has announced the completion of its newest resort, Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club.

The contemporary, urban timeshare property is centrally located in the dynamic hub of Waikiki on famous Kalakaua Avenue, and the resort’s opening is the final component of the vibrant Waikiki Beach Walk development – known for premier shopping, dining and entertainment.

The resort features Waikiki’s only open-air, rooftop pool bar complete with six private cabanas appointed with upscale amenities.

Bryan Klum, executive vice president of Hilton Grand Vacations-Asia Pacific, said: “Hokulani Waikiki is designed for sophisticated, cosmopolitan travelers – visitors who want to be right in the center of Waikiki’s excitement and energy.

“The resort has a great location, just two blocks from the beach and steps away from popular dining and shopping. But what really sets Hokulani apart is its design approach, which combines a distinctive Hawaiian style with a vibrant, urban aesthetic.”

HokulaniWaikikiDavid Carey, president and CEO of Outrigger Enterprises Group, added: “The opening of Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations is the perfect finishing touch to the Outrigger-led development of Waikiki Beach Walk.

“Waikiki Beach Walk was developed to be an exciting and stylish gathering place for visitors and residents alike. That reputation has only been enhanced with the opening of the Hokulani Waikiki.”

Leading architectural firm Group 70 International of Honolulu was commissioned for the complete overhaul of the resort’s previous footprint, the former OHANA Islander Waikiki Hotel, which began in 2012. Los Angeles-based Indidesign was selected for the interior design, which incorporates the use of natural and native materials, finishes and textures to capture the essence of Hawaii’s vibrant culture and environment.

The 14-story property includes 143 one-bedroom suites with sophisticated and personalized touches. Each unit ranges from 545 to 575 square feet and includes a boutique kitchen with a two-burner cook top, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and Tassimo espresso maker. Sleek, slide-out shelving houses appliances and glassware.

The living area features a sleeper sofa, coffee table, cozy dining area, and an integrated TV and gaming entertainment system. The spacious bathroom has both a soaker tub and separate shower room, washlet with bidet functionality and a LCD screen set integrated within the vanity mirror. Every unit also has a private lanai (balcony) with either a city or skyline view.

Owners and guests can also access the exclusive Nalani Pool – Waikiki’s only open-air rooftop pool bar featuring dynamic urban views of bustling Kalakaua Avenue, the Koolau mountain range, Diamond Head, and the Pacific Ocean.

“Hokulani Waikiki is further proof of the popularity of HGV’s timeshare properties in Hawaii,” added Klum. “This new location provides a nice complement to our three timeshare properties at the nearby Hilton Hawaiian Village. Our properties within the Village offer a relaxing and immersive beach vacation, while Hokulani is designed to provide a more energetic urban experience.”
