Kevin Camilleri and Perry Newton are hitting the road again, to ride in another gruelling motorbike rally to raise funds for charity.
The duo from Azure Malta, developers of the Heavenly Collection at Golden Sands, an affiliate of The Registry Collection, will take part in the Transanatolia Rally in Turkey on 31 August. The seven-day race starts and finishes in Antalya, crossing the Taurus Mountains into Cappadocia during the course of its 2,500km route of challenging terrain.
Last year the duo were the first Maltese team entrants to take part in the Dakar Rally, raising money for the Malta Community Chest Fund, UNICEF and Cancer Research UK.
This time Newton, Project Director for Azure, and Camilleri, Memberships General Manager, will be riding to raise funds for Help for Heroes (www.helpforheroes.org.uk) and the Malta Community Chest Fund (www.maltacommunitychestfund.org). The charities support British servicemen and women wounded in war since 11 September 2001 and a range of institutions and individuals in Malta respectively.
The duo have the support of George Abela, President of Malta, who will officially wish them good luck at a Press Call the week before the event, which itself is expected to attract widespread media attention.
The pair are now encouraging businesses to support their charitable effort through sponsorship and donations, with the opportunity to benefit from media coverage in local and international media.
Suggested sponsorship tiers include:
· 250 euros – company branding and logos on the duo’s tee shirts
· 500 euros – branding and logos on their tee shirts, front of suit and social media platforms
· 1000 euros – branding and logos on their tee shirts, front and back of race suit and trousers, social media platforms, website and mentions in all press events held in Malta and Turkey.
