Azure Malta is the perfect 10

Azure bannerAzure Malta, one of Europe’s leading vacation ownership specialists, is celebrating its ten-year anniversary.

The award-winning vacation club was established in Malta in 2003 in a joint venture between Island Hotels Group Holdings PLC and Silverpoint Group Holdings. The partnership developed the five-star Radisson BLU Resort & Spa, Golden Sands, a resort located above the picturesque Golden Bay and surrounded by countryside views. For the past decade, Azure has provided a range of luxury lifestyle vacation industry products in their portfolio.

Having started with just 26 staff, the company now employs a 133-strong team and has a membership client base of more than 6,000 member families from Europe, Asia, Scandinavia and America.

Perry Newton, Azure project director, said: “Since our inception, the company’s vision has been to be a market leader in our industry with focus on a hands on, ‘yes we can’ approach. At the core of our vision was the importance of building long-term relationships with our clients and delivering innovative and effective marketing communications to entice people to try out our portfolio of lifestyle products. “It’s been exciting to see how far we have come and we’re excited to continue our growth over the next decade.”

Memberships director Gavin Dickinson summed up the staff’s contribution to Azure’s first decade of success. He said: “It takes team work to make the dream work.”

Working in a highly competitive industry, Azure has distinguished itself from its competitors over the past ten years with its expert knowledge, superior client service and advanced marketing and sales strategies. Highlights of its decade in business include record membership applications of £24.5 million in 2008, the launch of the Heavenly Collection Suites in 2011 and the week when 50 Members of State and Her Majesty the Queen of England were guests at the resort simultaneously for the opening in 2005. Since then the resort has welcomed personalities including La Toya Jackson, Moby, Bob Geldof, Gary Neville and Enriquez Iglesias and more.

As the company enters the next ten years of business, Azure is committed to expand an even stronger online platform, to help maximise value for its existing members and to welcome new ones to apply for membership at their luxury vacation club in the way they most feel comfortable.

Sarah Mazzone, Azure e-commerce specialist, said: “In the past two years, Azure’s focus has been to strengthen their online presence via social media and the main website www.azuremalta.com to accommodate client requests in this fast growing vacation industry.

“A mobile marketing solution and a direct booking facility via our new website dashboard are just two examples of our next project, two ways that Azure will be able to better service the needs of our clients in years to come.”

Azure has continuously delivered quality and consistent results and has been recognized as Best Fractional Resort in Europe and Middle East by Perspective Magazine in 2012. Azure will continue to evolve and expand, digital marketing will become increasingly prominent to remain at the forefront of the market.

Newton aded: “Azure is already one of the top sales and marketing companies in Europe for this product. I see it maintaining that position, growing its portfolio of resorts and its diversification of product offering.

“It is evolving and increasing its product offering year on year, in such a way that the client is extremely happy with what he has bought for a number of reasons, not just for holidays but for all the other benefits that they get through the membership. Azure’s vision is to have a profitable, sustainable business over the next ten years.”
