Turner appointed to Board of global property organisation
Nick Turner, Vice President and head of new business, The Registry Collection, Europe, has been appointed to the Board of the Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP).
The AIPP is a global organisation dedicated to building confidence in international property markets, representing industry professionals and promoting the highest standards of professionalism in the property development markets across the world.
Turner’s appointment to the AIPP Board illustrates the value of the fractional product to the wider real estate development industry, as well as the esteem in which The Registry Collection programme is held by leading international property professionals – it was accepted into AIPP membership earlier this year.
Commenting on Turner’s appointment, Lisa Charlesworth, AIPP Operations Manager, said: “We’re very pleased to have welcomed Nick Turner to the Board of AIPP. Bringing market leaders together to steer the international property industry is key to our work and Nick brings a fresh perspective to the AIPP Board from the shared-ownership arena.
"In these tougher financial times, fractional ownership could offer an alternative for overseas property buyers looking for a relatively low entry price and financial commitment, and as our developer members look at ways to differentiate their product they may well look to shared-ownership schemes to add additional value and cater to a wider range of consumer needs.”
Delighted to be representing The Registry Collection on the only dedicated trade body representing international real estate, Turner said: “This has put the fractional product on the map where it belongs. AIPP has recognised that fractional real estate is an integral part of the international real estate business sector and we, in turn, are pleased to be able to support AIPP in any we can, particularly in helping to build consumer confidence and stimulate the residential resort market across Europe.”
