Six members of staff – plus three of their daughters – took part in Race For Life, a five-kilometre women-only fun run in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The team – led by Managing Director Linda Freer – set themselves a fundraising target of £3,000 and are well on the way to achieving it.

“We’ve raised a combined total of at least £2,500 so far,” said Linda. “So we’re not far away from reaching our goal.”

Linda said Resort Solutions staff decided to enter the event – which took place in Western Park, Leicester on July 12 – because so many of their friends and relatives have been affected by cancer.

“It’s something that has affected all of us in some way, so we really wanted to take part. There’s always a brilliant atmosphere at the race too,” added Linda, who first entered two years ago but had to miss out last year because she was recovering from a broken ankle.

Staff joining Linda and her daughter in the race were Miki Middleton and daughter Lilly, Ann Hudd and daughter Holly, Cary Edwards, Helen Lloyd and Mercedes Finning.
